Can Cap
de Bou Beach
This quiet beach is situated between Alcudia and Port de Pollenca which
is about 4.5 km away in an unspoilt and uncrowded area. It is about 2400 m in length, although it is
narrow, and consists of grey sand, with some pebbled areas, and plenty of
seaweed. It is especially good for wind
surfers and kite surfing because of the winds of Tramuntana and Gregal from the
north, which give strong air current and curled waves. There are sun beds and parasols available for
hire at Club Pollentia and the waters are very shallow with a moderate swell
for swimming. Close to the beach is a
150 hectare wetland (s’Albuferata de Pollenca). There is a bus stop just 10 metres from the beach and it is easy
accessible for a car with free parking. It is popular with fishermen and as well as swimmers.
