Coll Baix
This isolated and unspoilt beach is about 7 km east of Alcudia on the
headland of Cap de Pinar. You will need
to walk for some way through pine trees on a path to reach it, about 30 to 45
minutes. It is an unspoilt 250 m long
beach with a mixture of shingle and coarse-grained sand. It is surrounded by high mountain slopes and
it slopes quickly which makes it the ideal place for boats to anchor. There is usually a moderate swell for
swimming in the clear turquoise sea and is a perfect place for boats to anchor
as it is not very deep. There are no
services nearby and is an area used by nudists and naturists. The bays of Alcudia and Pollenca can be
viewed from the 445 metre high 16th century defense tower, sa Talaia d'Alcúdia
o de la Victòria, in the surroundings.
