Cala
Marmassen
This
small beach, about 20 metres long and 4 metres wide, is located between Morro
des Garrover and Punta Marmassen, 1.7 km from Port d’Andratx. It consists of a rocky seabed and shore,
making it ideal for snorkelling in the crystal clear water, but uncomfortable
for sun bathing. It is not recommended
for children as there is a steep slope into the water. It is a good spot for
anchoring a boat as long as there is not a strong wind from the south. To reach the beach you need to get to the Cap
de sa Mola residential area and then to walk from there. The water tends to be calm and it is usually
uncrowded. Construction has taken place
around the area and there are some steps to get down into the cove.
