Camp de
Mar / Platja de Camp de Mar
This fine
grained sandy beach is located between Peguera and Port d’Andratx, about 4
km from Andratx, on the south west coast of the Island. It is 180 metres long and 50 metres wide,
well protected from waves and strong winds and has beautiful clear water. It can be crowded during the busy summer
months of July and August, making it difficult for children to play. There are many apartments and hotels
surrounding the beach, but it still remains a relatively quiet place. One of the attractions of the beach is a
small island, which can be accessed by using a footbridge, and most of it is
take up with a restaurant and is an ideal place for snorkelling. There are
opportunities to hire sun beds, parasols and pedal boats, as well as other bars
and restaurants. It is accessible for
wheelchairs and there is a part time lifeguard.
