Arta’s beaches

Arta is situated in the north east part of the Island, about one and a half hours, (70 km) from the Son Sant Joan International airport and Palma, the capital of the Island.  It is an old style town where you will still see the art of working raffia and straw.  The appearance has changed with the building of hotels and villas but this has not altered the beauty of the many inlets along the coast.  You will find many beaches in this area, some of them are unspoilt, some remote, small or large, sandy or rocky, some you can get to easily by car with parking available, some where you will need to walk some distance, some will be the perfect place to anchor a speed boat or yacht, some with facilities such as bars, restaurants, sun beds, parasols and the opportunity to hire equipment for water sports.
