Ermitans / S'Arenalet de Son Colom / S'Arenalet dels Ermitans
This
beach is between Colonia de Sant Pere and Bethlehem, in the natural area d’Muntanyes
d’Arta, about 14 kilometres from Arta. It
is also known as s’Arenalet Son Columbus and Cove of Hermits. It is a small
beach, about 20 metres long and 15 metres wide, and consists of natural
sand. The beach is accessed from the
forest where you will find a path to walk along which will bring you to the
beach and is not suitable for disabled people. It is a good place if you wish to go snorkelling as the sea conditions
are usually small waves. It is generally
an uncrowded beach and there are no facilities available. In the past the surrounding area consisted of
fields where vines use to grow, but now there is sparse vegetation.
