Cala
Matzoc
This
beach is located within the Llevant Natural Park, about10.5 kilometres from
Arta. It is about 70 metres long and 55
metres wide and consists of fine white sand, with some gravel and pebbles, and
is bordered with bushes, scrubland and coastal pine trees. It can be dangerous to swim or try to anchor
a boat owing to its exposure from winds blowing from the north, northeast,
northwest and east, therefore you need to keep an eye on the weather
conditions. In front of the beach is a
dangerous sandbank and the sea state is usually moderate. It is rarely crowded as getting there by car
is difficult. There is a track on the
left from Cala Estreta which follows the coast and takes about thirty minutes
to walk the 2.5 km.
