Platja de Son Bunyola

The beach is located between Port des Canonge, 400 metres to the west, and sa Cova, about 12 kilometres from Esporles. The cove gets its name from the waterfall and torrent that flows into the sea and is about 90 metres long and 20 metres wide, depending on the flow of the torrent and the sea conditions.  It was once used by smugglers and consists of pebbles, of many different colours, and gravel and is bordered by a thick pine wood along the rocky coastline.  It can be exposed to winds from the north and combined with a swell can make it unsuitable to anchor a boat.  It tends to be uncrowded and mostly used by the local people from around the area.  It is easily reached by car if you follow the signs for Port des Canonge where you can park, and then you need to walk to the beach.
