Port des Canonge
This attractive and picturesque beach is located on the north west coast of
the Island of Mallorca, about 12 kilometres from Esporles, and is popular with
the local people of the area, particularly at weekends when the local fishermen
launch their boats into the water from the old fishing houses, each with its
own wooden pier. It is about 70 metres
long and 20 metres wide and consists of natural gravel and stones and the sea
conditions are usually a light swell, making it good for underwater fishing. There is a narrow road to access it which
bends for 6 kilometres, but once you reach it you can park next to the beach or
if that is full then there is usually room along the main road. There is a popular restaurant, on the main
road, where you can enjoy a leisurely meal.
