Cala Blanca / Es Castellot

This beach, also known as Es Castellot, is located between Punta des Castellot and sa Punta des Gats, about 8 kilometres from Calvia on the south west coast of the Island.  It is about 40 metres long and 10 metres wide and consists of sand, pebbles and gravel and is next to Platja Monte de Oro.  It is named after the atalaya tower which is nearby and has the same name, but it is not open to the public.  As there are sandbanks in the vicinity it is not advisable to anchor a boat. If you travel by car you can leave it in the local streets for free and the nearest bus stop is just 100 metres away. You need to go down some steps to access the beach.  It is an uncrowded area mostly used by the local people and there are no facilities available.
