Cala Comptessa / Cala Comtessa
The beach
is located between Platja d'Illetes and Punta des Bufador, about 9 kilometres
from Palma on the south west coast of the Island. It is a small and charming beach, about 100
metres long and 15 metres wide, at the southern end of the resort of
Illetas. It is at the bottom of a steep
hill and has fine golden sand and surrounded by pine trees and rocks. From the beach you have views of the Bay of
Palma and a small rockly isle. There are
steps on the both sides of the beach, between which there are some platforms
with sun beds, parasols and shower. It
is fairly easy to reach by a reasonably wide road that descends from the top of
the hill to the free parking area at the bottom. You can get there by bus, although the bus stop
is at the top of the hill so you would need to walk up and down the steep hill.
