Cala Falco
This
unspoilt beach is located between Cap des Falco and Platja de sa Bella Dona,
about six and a half kilometres (ten minutes) from Magaluf and Palma Nova. It is a pretty and small beach, about 20
metres long and 150 metres wide, and is situated in a quiet position amid the
Mediterranean vegetation, surrounded by pine forests and rocky outlets. The water is shallow and clear, making it a
good place for snorkelling and towards the east of the beach there is an old
ship wreck. The facilities include a
small beach bar where you can rent sun beds and parasols and there are public
toilets. It can be difficult to locate (a car is a must), and you need to follow
the signs for Cala Falco. Go through
Cala Vinyes and as you come to Cap de Figuera take the road to the right. Then keep your eyes open as the sign for the
beach in on your left but the beach is on the right. There is ample parking which is free of
charge and there are steps down onto the beach.
