Cala Vinyes
This
beach, sometimes referred to as Platja Gran Beach, is located between Magaluf (two
kilometres south) and Cap des Falcó, about 7 kilometres from Calvia on the
Island of Mallorca. It is in a sheltered
area as there are high cliffs bordering the beach and palm trees on the
beach. It is about 35 metres long and 90
metres wide and consists of fine sand, with a medium slope into the transparent
and crystal turquoise sea. There are
apartments and hotels close by and the facilities nearby include bars,
restaurants, sun beds and parasols for hire, toilet, shower, lifeguards on duty
to ensure visitor’s safety and children’s area. The Brittania Jet, a cruise ship, come to Cala Vinyes from Palma Nova
and Magaluf. It is possible to visit the
beach by bus, with a bus stop next to the supermarket at the top of the steps
to the beach.
