Platja de Santa Ponsa
This
beach is located between Calo d'en Pellicer and Punta des Castellot in Santa
Ponsa, about 7 kilometres from Calvia on the south east coast of the island of
Mallorca. It is a large beach, about
1300 metres long and 100 metres wide and consists of sand and is at the end of
a large bay with wonderful views of the sea. The beach is bordered with different types of restaurants and bars and
there are some supermarkets nearby. There is a bus stop next to the beach and
you will find a large car park next to the canal, about 140 metres from the
northern end of the beach, where the hotel accommodation is mainly based. As Santa Ponsa is popular with tourists it
can become busy during the peak summer months. The facilities include restaurants, bars, shops, lifeguard, first aid,
toilet, showers and the opportunity to hire sun beds and parasols.
