Platja de Son Maties
This
beach is located between Punta Nadala and Punta de sa Torre Nova or sa Porrassa,
about 7 kilometres from Calvia on the west coast of the island of
Mallorca. It is a fine white sandy
beach, about 450 metres long and 60 metres wide, on the edge of Magaluf and
within walking distance along a promenade. It is surrounded by apartments and hotels where you will find
restaurants and supermarkets next to the beach, as well as the night clubs and
other tourist attractions. The beach
facilities include shower, toilets, lifeguards and there is the opportunity to
hire sun beds, parasols and pedal boats. It can be busy in the summer months as it is a popular tourist resort
and the local people from the area. There is a bus stop close to the beach and you can park the car in the
surroundings of the village for free.
