This
beach is located between Bendinat and the eastern breakwater of Puerto Portals,
about eleven kilometres from Palma on the island of Mallorca. It is in a residential area at the left end
of the port and is about 220 metres long and 40 metres wide. It consists of fine grey sand and the swimming
conditions are usually calm, and opposite the beach is D’en Salas, a little
island. The beach’s facilities include
sun beds and parasols for hire, a net to play beach volleyball and showers. It is not suitable to anchor a boat because
of the rocks and sandbanks towards the west and south, although it is possible
between the beach and small island. There is a bus stop adjacent to the beach
and there is a free car park next to the beach. It tends to become crowded with tourists and the local people from the
area.
