Es Pregons Grans / Platja d'es Peregons Grans
This
beach is only accessible by walking south along the coast from Es Trenc beach
for about fifteen minutes, or by walking along the coast to the north from Es
Marquès in Colònia de Sant Jordi. It is
located about 2 kilometres from Colonia de Sant Jordi and 150 metres long and
25 metres wide and consists of white fine sand that goes out to the crystal
clear water for hundreds of metres. It
is suitable for families with children as the beach slopes gently and there is
plenty of room for them to play, but remember it is a nudist beach. At the rear of the beach are pine trees and
their roots help to strengthen the sand dunes and prevent them from blowing
onto the nearby farm fields. It is
visited by tourists and the local people of the area and there are no
facilities on the beach so remember to take plenty of water and a picnic.
