Ses Covetes
This
beach is located between sa Rapita and es Trenc and about 11 kilometres from
Campos. It consists of fine white sand,
about 200 metres long and 60 metres wide and the water is usually calm and
crystal clear, which makes it perfect for swimming. The name derives from “little caves” which
used to be dotted around this rocky coast, but there were ruined when they were
used as a quarry to provide the stones for Palma’s defence walls. It is a fairly quiet beach even in high
season as there is plenty of space. There are few facilities on the beach, but it is possible to hire a sun
bed and parasol. There is public
transport to this beach and parking for between fifty and one hundred cars is
available. To access the beach you need
to walk through some scrubland and there is no disabled access.
