Capdepera’s beaches
Capdepera is on the north east coast of the Island of Mallorca, about 8 kilometres from Arta, and is a historical village which is dominated by the Castell de Capdepera which costs about two euros to visit. It is about seventy seven kilometres from the capital of the island, Palma and its airport, and is overlooked by the mountains of Sierra de Llevant. There are some beautiful beaches, a few good restaurants and bars and some historical sites, such as Arta Caves, in the pretty seaside town. Just on the outskirts of the town you will find kilometre after kilometre of lovely beaches, especially towards the north where you will find the beaches of Cala Guya, Cala Mesquida and Cala Molto, which have great bays for swimming in. Just six kilometres away is a great golf course if you want a change from sunbathing and swimming in the water.
