Son Moll
This popular
and clean beach is located about 2 kilometres from Cala Ratjada on the north
east coast of the Island of Mallorca. It
is about 150 metres long and 55 metres wide and consists of fine white and
natural sand and the clear water is a beautiful turquoise colour, good for
snorkelling and usually has moderate water swell. It sloped gently for the first few metres but
then you need to take care as it them shelves quite steeply. It is surrounded
by apartments and hotels and can be crowded at times with tourists, especially
during the peak summer months. The
beach’s facilities include showers, toilets, lifeguard, cafe, bar and there is
the opportunity to hire sun beds, parasols and sometimes pedal boats. There is parking nearby, although it may be
difficult to find a space and there is a bus stop just 50 metres from the
beach.
