Cala Pi
This
beach is located in the residential area of Cala Pi about 17 kilometres from Llucmajor
on the southern coast of the Island of Mallorca. It is about 45 metres long and 140 metres
wide and consists of fine natural sand, shallow water and swimming conditions
which are usually calm, and is surrounded by pine trees. It is visited by tourists but is not usually
overcrowded and has some old huts, known as escars, which the local fishermen
use to protect their tackle and boats. There is a torrent which ends here, which is where it gets its name
from, and flows into the crystal clear water. You need to use the steps to access the beach. There is a bus stop
nearby and it is easily accessible by car where you will find free
parking. The beach’s facilities include
a small beach bar and the opportunity to hire sun beds and parasols.
