Calonet des Cap Alt / Calo Fred
This
beach is also known as Calo Fred and is located between Cap Alt and Calonet de
s’Almadrava, about 16 kilometres from Llucmajor on the south west coast of the
Island of Mallorca. A v-shaped entrance
has been created by the sea and the Torrentó de Cap Alt flows into the sea at
this beach. It is about 35 metres long
and 3 metres wide and consists of pebbles and rocks, with no sand and crystal
clear water. It is generally uncrowded
as it is at the start of an uninhabited region, next to an area of natural
interest and military facilities. This part of the coast is wide open making it
difficult to anchor a boat if there are strong winds from the southwest to
north. There are no facilities on the
beach so you may need to take a picnic and plenty of water.
