Manacor beaches

Manacor is situated 50 kilometres from the capital of the west coast of the Island of Mallorca, Palma, and it is one of the largest municipalities, with the second largest town.  It is a commercial centre for all of its surrounding villages and is famous for its artificial pearl manufacturing, which tourists go and visit every day, and its furniture made of good-quality wood.  It has an attractive old centre but is not somewhere tourists would visit, but may pass through on route to somewhere else.  The beaches nearby are busy during the peak summer months and most of them have been awarded the Blue Flag for their facilities and safety.  The climate is described as Mediterranean, with hot summers, especially during July and August when there can be about eleven hours of sun, and mild winters which can be a little chilly.  It has about 20 kilometres of coastline where you will find crystal clear water and splendid coves.
