Cala Anguila
This small
beach is located about 3 kilometres from Porto Cristo on the west coast of the Island
of Mallorca. It is about 50 metres long
and 120 metres wide, consists of fine white natural sand and gravel and has
cliffs on either side. It is a popular
beach with the local people of the area and the water is fairly shallow,
crystal clear and swimming conditions are commonly described as moderate waves. When the tide is right it is sometimes
possible to explore the caves around this part of the coast. The surrounding
area is mostly made up of tourist’s apartments and single-family constructions,
with some vegetation, but no boardwalk. The beach’s facilities include some restaurants and bars which are just
a short walk away, lifeguard, toilets, litter bins, diving area and the
opportunity to hire sun beds, parasols and pedal boats. It is easily accessible either by foot, boat
or car, with between 50 and 100 parking spaces which are watched over by a
security staff.
