Cala Murada
This
beach is situated in the residential area of Cala Murada, a small and quiet
village, between Port Colom (about 8 kilometres away) and Porto Cristo on the south
east coast of the Island of Mallorca. It
is a small cove with natural white sand, moderate waves for swimming, low
cliffs on the right hand side that have some houses on the top. At the rear of the beach is a small lake
which has been formed from the water of the natural Torrent des Fangar. It is regularly cleaned and the beach’s
facilities include lifeguards, showers, toilets and the opportunity to hire sun
beds, parasols, hammocks and pedal boats. There is free parking, disable access and there is a bar/restaurant
adjacent to the beach which has a large terrace. A small market is held close to the beach on
Thursdays. It can become busy during the
popular summer months.
