S'Illot / Cala Moreia / Platja de s'Illot
This
beach is located between Cala Moreya and Sa Coma, about 4 kilometres from Porto
Cristo on the east coast of the Island of Mallora and is about 350 metres long
and 35 km wide. It consists of natural golden
sand, and the swimming conditions are described as moderate waves, and the
water is shallow. The Torrent N’Amer makes
a small flow where it flows out to sea on the left hand end of the beach and
there is a small landing dock at the right hand end. At the rear of the beach there is a wide
pedestrian promenade. The beach’s facilities include lifeguards, toilets,
litter bins, disabled access, diving area and the opportunity to hire sun beds,
parasols and pedal boats. It can become
crowded during the peak summer months and is cleaned regularly. It is easily accessible, both by bus and car,
with between 50 and 100 parking spaces available.
