Muro Beaches

These beaches are on the north east coast of the Island of Mallorca, in the Bay of Alcudia.  It is about 60 km from the international airport with plenty to do in the resort of de Muro and the surrounding area.  You will find excellent restaurants, shops and accommodation.  There are plenty of small lakes in the area which are linked together by canals, this wetlands for the S’Albufera Nature Reserve.  This reserve is protected and has many trails on which you can cycle or walk and there are over two hundred different species of birds which makes it very popular with bird watchers.  Just inland is the medieval town of Alcudia which has impressive city walls and gates.  The area enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate, which has hot summers, temperatures are about 28C with about eleven hours of sunshine and mild winters, making it a great place for a beach holiday.
