Cala Nova
This long
curvy beach is located near to the resort of Es Cana, about 3 kilometres from
Palma on the southern coast of the Island of Mallorca. It is about 250 metres long and 20 metres
wide and is a great beach for the family with shallow waters and beautiful
golden sand. This is a place where the
surfers congregate as there always seem to be waves, especially when the wind
blows from the east. The beach’s
facilities include lifeguards, showers, restaurants and the opportunity to hire
sun beds, parasols and pedal boats. There is disabled access to the beach and the beach is split into two by
rocks. If you are feeling energetic where is a small pine-clad hill to the left
which you can walk up, or you can walk to the left around the headland where
you will find the small cove of Cala Lena.
