Es Molinar (ZB)
This
beach is located in a small town between Can Pastilla and Palma (about 2 kilometres to the east) on the
southern coast of the Island of Mallorca. This small cove is about 1000 metres long and 20 metres wide and
consists of natural sand, pebbles and gravel. It is not suitable for anchoring boats and can be dangerous with waves
if the wind is blowing from the south east and south west. As it is outside of the tourist areas it is
mostly used by the local residents of the area. There is a small waterfront, where you will find some bars and
restaurants, and a new promenade which joins Es Molinar and Portixol with El
Arenal and Palma. This is very popular
with walkers, cyclists and skaters. There is some car parking area which is
free, other parking is available but you will need to pay for it. There is a bus stop within three hundred
metres.
