Platja de Palma
This very
large beach is located between the municipalities of Llucmayor and Palma (about 14 kilometres to the east), on the
southern coast of the Island of Mallorca. It is about six kilometres long and 50 metres wide and consists of
natural white sand. The beach’s
facilities include a lifeguard service, showers, telephones, litter bins, as
well as the opportunities to hire sun beds, parasols, hammocks and water sports
equipment. There are plenty of bars,
cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and shops in the area and it can be easy to
get lost from its wide and modern promenade, from which you can take a small
tourist train. The area is divided into
parts where you will find large numbers on the outdoor beach bars to help you
find your place on the beach. It can be
a little noisy as it is near to the international airport at Palma.
