Cala Castell
This
beach is located about 12.8 kilometres from Pollensa on the north coast of the
Island of Mallorca. It is a remote beach
and is situated at the end of a cliff and separated into two coves and getting
there is not easy. One way is to drive
to Cala Barques and then to work around the coast, or alternatively is to drive
to the rural finca of Tenelles and walk about 10 kilometres along a track. You will find some fantastic views of the
north parts of the island and on a good day you can see the Island of Menorca.
It consists of natural sand, gravel and pebbles and is about 200 metres long
and 20 metres wide. It is mostly visited
by the local residents from around the area and there are no restaurants or
facilities available so you will need to remember to take plenty of water with
you.
