Cala Figuera

This beach is located about 13.4 kilometres west of Puerto Pollensa on the peninsular of Formentor on the north coast of the Island of Mallorca.  Just a few kilometres away is the very popular Cap de Formentor viewpoint.  It is about 45 metres long and 10 metres wide and the cove has steep mountains on both sides.  It mostly consists of gravel and small pebbles with small areas of sand and can sometimes by partly covered with seaweed.  It is not a child friendly beach as there are large stones in the water and there are no facilities so you must ensure to take plenty of water with you. You can park the car about 1.4 kilometres from the beach and then you will need to walk for about 15 to 20 minutes along a rough path to reach it.  It is not generally a crowded place and is somewhere where you can try snorkelling along the cliffs.
