Cala Formentor / Cala Pi de la Posada
This
beach, on the peninsular of Formentor, is located about 14 kilometres from
Pollensa on the north coast of the Island of Mallorca. It is about 840 metres long and 8 metres wide
and consists of white very fine sand and the turquoise sea is crystal
clear. It is situated in a very
picturesque spot with pine trees at the rear of the beach and lovely views of
the mountains. It is a child friendly
beach as the sea is fairly shallow but because the beach is rather narrow there
may be limited space for playing. There
are two restaurants nearby and it is possible to hire pedal boats and jet skis
and to take a trip on a glass bottom beach. There is parking close to the beach but it is not free, alternatively
you can park along the road for free. It
is a popular place for tourists to visit.
