Sant Llorenc’s Beaches
Sant Llorenc’s beaches are on the east coast of the Island of Mallorca, about 60 kilometres from the international airport, at the Island’s capital, Palma. Sant Llorenc, the municipal district, is a small town with its main feature being the arch at the entrance to the church and is of historical significance. It is surrounded by fields with pine and almond trees growing. This area presents opportunities to enjoy a range of leisure and sport activities which as windsurfing, diving, golf and tennis, amongst others. One particular attraction of the area is the annual balloon race, in which over fifty participants from twelve different countries takes place. The coastline has large beaches such as Cala Millor, S’Illot and Sa Coma. The Sa Punta de n’Amer peninsular, which separates Cala Millor and Sa Coma, remains undeveloped on the coastline, whilst elsewhere there are numerous holiday homes and apartments.
