Sa Coma

This lovely sandy beach is about 5 kilometres from Porto Cristo on the east coast of the Island of Mallorca, just south of Cala Millor.  Sa Coma has been built around two beaches which are south of the Punta de n’Amer peninsular The Playa Sa Coma is about 800 metres long and 30 metres wide and consists of natural sand with a gentle slope down into the Mediterranean Sea.  There is a lovely promenade with cafes, bars and restaurants, where you can walk around the bay and because of its locality in a popular tourist area it can become crowded during the peak summer months.  There are lifeguards during the summer months and many opportunities to hire sun beds, parasols, pedaloes and water sports equipment, together with a section to play volleyball.  The smaller beach, Playa S’Illot, is to the south and is about 250 metres in length.
