Can Picafort
This beach is located in Alcudia Bay about10 kilometres south from Alcudia on the north east coast of the Island of Mallorca. It is about 1300 metres long and 30 metres wide and consists of white, fine grain sand. It can get crowded in front of the hotels during the peak summer months but can be quieter away from them. There is a wide pedestrian promenade which goes all the way to the Son Baula area where you will also find a beach. The water is not as shallow as that at Alcudia and on windy days there can be some large waves making it unsuitable for very young children. You will find many restaurants, bars and shops on the promenade, and opportunities to hire pedal boats and go windsurfing, water skiing and banana boat riding. It is a resort which is very people with the German tourists.
