Na Patana / Punta de na Patana
This small
beach is located between Arenal de ses Assussenes and Punta des Fenicis, about14
kilometres from Santa Margalida on the north east coast of the Island of
Mallorca. It is about 100 metres long
and 8 metres wide and consists of natural stone, with the village of Pinar des
Revellar and its pine wood to the rear of the area. It is an uncrowded beach and is mostly used
by the local people from around this unpopulated area. It is not suitable for anchoring boats
because of the underwater conditions which are not very deep with some
flagstones, and too much sea swell where the wind can blow towards the
land. There are no facilities so ensure
you take plenty of water. You can walk
to the necrópolis de Punta des Fenicis where you will find many aristocratic
tombs, some of which are small navetes or talaoits..
