Cala en Tugores
This
beach is located between Colonia de Sant Jordi and ses Salines, about7
kilometres away, on the south east coast of the Island of Mallorca. It is about 200 metres long and 15 metres
wide and consists of natural sand, with an abundance of seaweed on the sand. It tends to be an uncrowded beach as it is
actually situated on private land and cannot be accessed by car. It is possible to access it on foot by
walking 3.6 kilometres, about one hour, from Colonia de Sant Jordi or from the
lighthouse of Cap de ses Sallines, a walk to the west of 3.6 kilometres, about
three quarters of an hour. The area is
full of pine trees and there are marine birds in the natural lake of s’Estany
de ses Gambes. There are no facilities
on the beach so remember to take plenty of water with you.
