Calo des Pou / Caleta des Pou

This beach, also known as Caleta des Pou, is in a residential area close to the marina about 2 kilometres from Cala d'Or on the south east coast of the Island of Mallorca.  It is about 40 metres long and 50 metres wide and consists of natural, fine white sand, with a pine tree to the rear of the beach which provides some shade during the hot summer months.  It is next to es Forti which is a fort built in 1730, and there is a museum which is open to the public that you can visit.  The facilities include toilets and showers, and there is the opportunity to rent sun beds and parasols, with a restaurant nearby.  It is normally a quiet place, even during the peak summer months, and it is easy to drive to the beach and there is free parking adjacent to it.
