Cala Galiota

This small beach is about 6 kilometres from ses Salines on the south east coast of the Island of Mallorca.  It is about 30 metres long and 9 metres wide and consists of natural coarse sand and some rocks.  The beach slopes quite steeply into the water making it a good place for anchoring a boat, but take extra care as there is no shelter if the wind is blowing from the west.  It is mostly residents from the local area who visit this beach as there are no tourist hotels or apartments nearby.  There are limited facilities on the beach but you will find some restaurants in the area serving sea food and fish dishes. If driving to this beach you need to follow the signs to Cala Galiota and you will be able to park just a few metres from the beach and it is free.
