Port Vell
This semi
urban beach is in the quiet Costa de Los Pinos district and about 3.8
kilometres from Son Servera on the east coast of the Island of Mallorca. As its name suggests it used to be a port and
you will still find a jetty there in the calm crystal clear water. It is about 200 metres long and 4 metres wide
and consists of natural coarse grained sand and some pebbles, and to the rear
you will find bushes and pine trees which help to shelter you from the hot
summer sun. There are hotels and residential buildings in the area and there is
free parking for cars. Another way of
getting to this beach is by using the tourist mini train. It is not normally crowded and there are no
facilities on the beach so you must ensure that you take plenty of water with
you.
