JS Sol de Alcudia Hotel

Well maintained comfortable choice in a central location, close to the beach across the main road and many tourist amenities right on the doorstep. It features a pleasantly tranquil garden and pool given the position in this built-up part of the resort. There are basic children's facilities but perhaps it is more suitable to beach enthusiasts and those wanting lots of resort convenience for the evenings too. Public transport is very handy for the popular port and old town. Not to be confused with the apartment property of the same name next door with which it has no connection. Similarly, not part of the Sol Melia Group, which has the Sol Alcudia Centre on the same street.

Interior

The central interior is well presented with a tropical garden. A buffet restaurant has a conservatory-style section facing out to the grounds. A dubious pink and cream colour-themed lounge with a bar also serves the exterior.

Grounds

Lawned grounds to the rear are dominated by the pool with a narrow concrete surround. Most lounging space is available on the lawns all round the pool and under the trees that border this area. A tennis court is to one side and a sand-based children's playground to the other.

Location

Area Type: In a lively tourist area of the resort, just on the inland side of the main coastal road. It is situated with other hotels and apartments and with lots of shops, bars and eateries on the street in all directions. A taxi rank is less than a 5-minute walk away and the buses to Alcudia Port and Old Town stop on the main road.
