Sprawling combination of rooms (245) and apartments (95), located in two separate adjacent blocks. Very large grounds with a choice of generously sized pools and lots of space both inside and out.

Could do with a bit of bringing up to date but all facilities are perfectly functional, just won't win any design awards! Used exclusively by UK guests of a major tour operator and geared towards families who will enjoy the space and distractions for children.

Some way from the central amenities but a free shuttle bus to the beach is a big help and the location by the lake is most pleasant. Plenty on site for the active guest too as their sports centre offers tennis, squash, volleyball, 5-a-side football, basketball, mini golf and even lake boating.

Interior

Central interior with a spacious lobby, marble columns, sofas and chairs and an atrium garden with tropical greenery and a roof skylight.

A split-level bar and lounge with an entertainment stage and a conservatory-style terrace outside. Buffet restaurant with wooden furniture and wood-panelled round pillars.

Grounds

Grounds are spread over two spacious pool terraces, one on the other side of a small street and a multi-sports centre is also found across the street. Main pool has tall palms and shaded loungers all around with a thatched snack bar and plastic seating for the bar and open-air entertainments.

A second quieter pool terrace has a large concrete surround with lots of space around for loungers under shades. Another snack bar has a thatched roof. There is a large expanse of lawned garden to the front of the property with a small boat jetty at the lakeside.

Location

Area Type: Located in the area surrounding the Gaviotas Lake, in Playa de Muro, near the hospital and with the nature reserve directly behind. A selection of local amenities are along the street a 5-min walk away. The main concentration of bars, shops and eateries is along the main road a 10-15 min walking distance. Buses to the centre of Alcudia and other island towns and resorts can be found also on the main road.
