Pristine quality beachfront establishment with lots of attention to detail and showing a lot more style and refinement than many similarly-rated offerings. Beautiful grounds and pools leading to a super raised restaurant overlooking the beach.

Offers children's facilities and entertainment for all, plus a well-equipped spa with pool. Grand interior areas with lots of space and with a vaguely Caribbean feel to the facilities. Immediate access at the rear to the great sandy beach.

Would suit couples and families looking for a relaxed seafront holiday in laid-back impressive surrounds. Nothing much else of interest in the area apart from the nature reserve, so handy public transport required to Alcudia centre or towns further afield.

The hotel owns the public-access steak house and pizzeria restaurants on the street outside.

Interior

Cavernous apex-roofed central interior with ponds inside and out and the spa with pool just below the lobby. Similarly huge wood-beamed buffet restaurant with an adjacent bar and entertainments area with covered terrace seating outside.

Grounds

Lush dense tropical gardens with palm trees surrounding a bridged lagoon pool, split into separate pools linked by rock features. Central entertainment stage in the grounds has hedge borders and a bar to the rear.

A raised open-sided conical structure houses a further lunchtime snack bar and restaurant. Just off the beach is a sand-based children's playground and a mini-club is a few yd away.

Location

Area Type: In the resort area of Playa de Muro, set back from the main road behind pine trees and positioned with a group of other large hotel and apartment properties. A small commercial centre is just along the side street, but apart from this selection, no other amenities are in the vicinity. The Albufera Nature Reserve is 150 yds across the main coastal road. A bus stop to Alcudia Port and old town stops on the main road. Additionally buses to major island towns such as Palma and Inca can be found nearby. Taxis wait just along the street.
