A large linked complex of hotel rooms and self-catering apartments comprising the Cala Gran and Costa del Sur buildings with 193 rooms and linked by a bridge. Adjacent is the Cala Gran Apartments over four buildings with 89 apartments and studios. There are four pool areas spread throughout the grounds, which are all are very peacefully positioned and attractive. A tunnel under the road from the property goes directly to the main beach of the resort, Cala Gran.

The interior facilities are very appealing with a lot more character and traditional touches than many and there are lots of lounge areas and terraces for relaxation.

A genuine all-round property that offers facilities and accommodation to suit all ages. An added bonus is the separately managed onsite dive school. Sister property, Ariel-Chico, is a few yards away.

Interior

Homely, central interior with dark woodwork, decorative greenery and plenty of wall artwork and objets d' art. A lounge with wicker seating is off the lobby and a further piano bar has sea views.

An arched, split-level bar has terraced seating outside the pool. Traditional-style buffet restaurant is in the Costa del Sur building over the bridge.

Grounds

To the rear of the main building is a pool with a natural rock and bamboo fence surround and mature trees to both sides. A sunbathing section is raised at one end.

A further pool across a small bridge has a wood deck and a line of loungers all around. A large, split-level pool is in front of the apartment accommodation with a few sunbeds. A fourth, quieter pool terrace is by one of the other apartment blocks.

Location

Area Type: Centrally-located on a quiet, leafy street, among other tourist properties with a good selection of amenities a 100 yards away. Just off the entrance leading down to the Cala Gran beach. A taxi rank is 150 yards away and a bus stop to the capital Palma, is 200 yards. The coves and beaches of Cala Esmeralda and Cala d’Or are within easy reach on foot.
