A superb self-contained complex with an outstanding range of facilities, having undergone an extensive total renovation, completed in May 2010. Set in a lovely wooded coastal setting with direct access to a beach to the rear of the property. Very much geared towards families with children but anyone else cannot fail to be impressed by this property.

Two monster pools and a further activities pool with an enormous children’s play area and mini-club plus sports courts, all set amongst the pine trees surrounding the property.

Well away from the resort centre with no amenities in the area, although transport is handy, being right outside for those who can actually tear themselves away. Guests will enjoy the beautiful location in this typical Mallorcan part of the island with its choice of four beaches in the area, the nature park, countryside and the opportunity to go diving, horse riding or cycling from the hotel.

Interior

A fashionable marble-styled central interior has arty wall decor and colourful furnishings. A corner bar has seating inside or outside overlooking the grounds. Three, large modern restaurants all with exterior covered seating on large terraces are outside. A tranquil spa has low-lit treatment rooms.

Grounds

Vast main pool area with two, huge meandering pools on different levels amongst the pine trees. An entertainment stage with chairs and tables in front is at the end of one of the pools. A further pool is to one side of the property near the sports courts. A chill-out area is under the pine trees by the coastline.

An extensive sand-based fenced children’s playground and mini-club are onsite. Lots of sunbeds are on the various terraces around all pools. A path leads down to the beach and bay at the rear.

Location

Area Type: Situated on a sloping coastal site, in the area known as Cala Mandrago, well outside Cala d’Or (5 miles) and actually nearer the village of Porto Petro (2 miles), surrounded by a wooded nature reserve with little else in the area apart from a horse riding centre. A bus stop is right outside for Palma and other towns and there is a further local service to Cala Mandrago, Porto Petro and Cala d’Or.
