Rosu Hotel Corfu/ Skorpios

A two-hotel establishment, comprising the Corfu and Skorpios properties but collectively known as Corfu/Skorpios as they share all facilities except the restaurants.

Set on either side of an attractive, narrow bay with a small sandy beach in a peaceful, outer area of the resort known as Cala Egos. The beach is accessed directly via both properties and there is a central pool area and entertainment for both properties.

Should appeal to both couples and families as the beach and grounds are safe and the children’s facilities are good. Handy for local amenities but a long way to the resort centre, so transport would be required to get to the shops and nightlife.

Interior

Smart, polished central interior with exposed stonework and modern furnishings. Below the lobby is an entertainment lounge bar with rows of tables and chairs and a terrace outside overlooking the bay. Long buffet restaurant also looks out to the coastline and beach.

Grounds

A path leads down to the sandy beach where there is a pool terrace separated by a glass windbreak. The pool has a spacious, green concrete pool surround with sun loungers randomly scattered about under canopy parasols. There are natural rock walls on either side and palm trees.

An entertainment stage and a wooden mini-club hut are in one corner and above that is a children’s playground. A snack bar with plastic chairs and tables to the front is in the centre of this area.

Location

Area Type: Located right on the Cala Egos beach and bay, in the outer resort area of the same name. With a few other hotel properties and lots of white, low-rise residential accommodation. A short way along the main street is a good selection of tourist shops, bars and restaurants. In the same area, a short walk away is a taxi rank and a bus stop to the capital Palma and other local towns. 1.25 miles to the resort centre.
