Hotel Balmoral

Part of a complex of three sister hotels-Mastines, Chihuahuas and Balmoral, collectively known also as Calas de Mallorca Resort. A lively but rather bland option, offering both rooms and apartments. There is lots to keep children and active guests entertained both during the day and night. Rather basic and unimpressive throughout but a reasonable family option in quite a central location, handy for the many tourist amenities of the commecial centre along the street.

Exterior

The main, 5-storey concrete block has balconies and metal-railed balconies. Four, 2-storey accommodation buildings are in the grounds.

Interior

Rather drab and ordinary interior with little colour and basic soft furnishings in the lounge with an entertainment stage. The main restaurant is more stylish with quality wooden furniture.

Grounds

A paved pool terrace with thatched parasols over the sunbeds, a raised entertainment stage to one side of the pool and a stone snack bar in one corner. The grounds have lawned gardens in front of the accommmodation with olive and pine trees and flowering plants around the paved and tarmac pathways.

Location

Area Type: On the edge of the resort development, with other holiday accommodations, set just back from the clifftop with fine sea views. A bus stop to other island towns and resorts is right outside. The central commercial centre with it's tourist shops, bars and eateries is a 5 to10-minute walk away. A couple of small mini-markets are next door.
