Originally a summer house of the castle of Bendinat and has been in the same family, owned and managed, dating back to it's first use as a hotel in 1953.(The story of how the hotel came to be makes a really interesting read!)
A unique and atmospheric property with a rambling, charismatic interior styled on a manor house and filled with artefacts from medieval suits of armour to Balinese Buddha’s.
Guests in the main building have a bit of a journey to the seashore, via two lifts, and two tunnels (one with a chapel) under two streets down the hill.
The unusual and appealing grounds offer a choice of three pools and attractive terraced gardens with plenty of hidden nooks and crannies, minigolf, squash, tennis and volleyball. A quality spa and unusually a yoga room is yet another of the leisure facilities on offer.
Has an indoor playroom for children and an exterior playground- suitable for families as long as the children don't get lost!
Open year-round and a popular choice for guests from the UK, who enjoy the friendly, personal, professional and homely style of this establishment- apart from the fact it has to be easily one of the most unique properties on the island!
