Majorca Beach

Large, beachside establishment with sea views but a very un-inspiring interior looking quite dated. Somewhat redeemed by it's shady grounds and gardens just off the sandy beach with some good sections for children. Not much room around the rather small pool for sunbeds-so the beach may be a better choice. Nicely away from the main heart of the nightlife but stll easily wakable for the younger guests looking for the main action. Offers a full programme of entertainment for all ages. Transport is handy right outside for Palma by bus or taxi. For the healthy and not so healthy-a bike hire shop and a medical clinic are part of the same building! Includes 69 self-catering apartments.

Dated central interior with patterned marble flooring and a few sofas and chairs. A large indoor bar has rows of bucket seating in front of an entertainment stage. A buffet restaurant is off the lobby.

Grounds

Pleasant, sizeable grounds just yards back from the beach with tall pine trees offering a shadey section to one sde over the chidlren's pools. An adjacent lawned area has a children's play area. A raised, central main pool with a block-paved surround and rows of sun loungers all around. By the building is an entertainments stage and a bar with plastic tables and chairs in front.

Location

Area Type: On the beachfront, in the centre, in an area of similar large-scale hotels, on a tree-lined street filled with souvenir shops, bars and eateries. A bus stop is 50 yards away and a taxi rank is diagonally opposite. The main bar 'strip' and bar 'square' and a massive nightclub are walkable in less than 10 minutes from here.
